Therapeutic form

Rocaltrol® soft capsules is indicated, in general, in all diseases related to inability of renal synthesis of calcitriol, such as:

– Renal osteodystrophy, in patients with chronic renal insufficiency and more so if they are undergoing haemodialysis.

– Post-surgical hypoparathyroidism.

– Idiopathic hypoparathyroidism.

– Pseudohypoparathyroidism.

– Vitamin D-dependent rickets.

– Vitamin D-resistant hypophosphatemic rickets.

– Osteomalacia

– Pre-surgical treatment in primary hyperparathyroidism, to minimise postoperative hypocalcaemia.
